They are the Federal Employee Plans (FEPP), State Supplemental Medical Programs (SSM), and the State Medicaid programs.

There are certain criteria that is necessary for these plans to be certified by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If you look at the Medicare Advantage plans 2020, you will see that they must meet certain standards.

When a company or physician does not meet certain criteria, they are ineligible to participate in the program. There are certain test centers that must also meet certain standards. There is a slight difference between the HMO and PPO plans. The HMO will usually cover the preventive care and the emergency care, while the PPO covers certain emergency care only. This is how it works.

You should know that there are many types of Medicare Advantage plans that have different eligibility requirements. These plans are:

Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) – This plan is usually offered through hospitals, physicians and other medical care providers. In this plan, you can choose the medical providers you want to use. You can select doctors and specialists that you prefer to use, but you will be charged with a co-payment when you go to those doctors.

Medicare Advantage Plan – It is similar to the PPOs, except you have more choices when it comes to physicians and other medical providers. You may have to pay more, but it may be less expensive.

Medicare Advantage Tuition Supplement (MAPS) – This is a free public plan that helps eligible students pay for their tuition. In most cases, the student can still receive the federal student loan that they need to help with their education. MAPS is generally accepted by most colleges and universities.

Medicare Part D – This is considered a prescription drug plan. This is a government sponsored program that helps seniors who are on Medicare and do not have insurance coverage. For people who do not have private insurance coverage, this program can be very helpful.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) – This is a program that helps low-income senior citizens with supplemental payments. Many seniors live below the poverty level, and this program can help them get back on their feet. Most Medicare Advantage plans are a part of this program.
